Meet the Retired K-9s

Kathleen’s inspiration for her K-9 character, “Juniper,” came from working K-9s for Sherlock Hounds Detection Canines—a private narcotic dog business. Here’s a little background on her retired team.

Willow

We said good-bye to our sweet Yellow Dog, Willow. She was a wonderful drug dog and we all miss her.

Gracie

Gracie partnered with Kathleen in 2013. A high energy girl, Gracie loved her job and was enthusiastic about going to work. She not only loved keeping schools safe, but Gracie also loved all the attention that came with the job.

K-9 Gracie has crossed the rainbow bridge. She was an amazing drug dog and will be missed by everyone, especially her fellow K-9 friends.

Boomer

Kathleen found Boomer at the Lab Rescue Oklahoma. They teamed up in 2019 and Boomer has proven he loves his job and is excellent at sniffing out contraband. His talents also include leaning on people for lots of love and attempting to eat things he shouldn’t. When he’s not working, Boomer loves playing with his friends and running around the yard as fast as he can.

Sparky

K-9 Sparky has crossed the rainbow bridge. He was an amazing drug dog who touched many lives. He will be missed by everyone, especially his fellow K-9 friends.
